We love working with architects, designers and builders to help them realize their vision. It’s always rewarding to see our lighting integrated in the renovation or creation of a new space such as a chapel, a museum, or a home. Sometimes that collaboration leads to new designs on our part, or re-imaginings of our existing historic lighting fixtures.
For example, a custom version of our Federalist Lantern has been selected by longstanding clients including Jorge Hernandez and Nate Berkus. The omission of the usual period ornamentation at the top (called the ‘gallery’) gives this design a more modern and minimalist aspect.
The scaled-up lantern shown here measures 4 feet tall. For exterior installations, we’ve even added unbreakable glass, and hurricane chains for stability.

We’re planning to add a version of this design to our line of pendant lighting. Stay tuned for more news and photos of this striking fixture by following us via social media or email:
In the meantime, we welcome any suggestions as to what we might name this piece :)
