Authentic Designs appears on 'This Old House' TV

North Shore Farmhouse

All of us here at Authentic Designs are thrilled to be featured in the latest episode of the classic TV series This Old House !

 

This year's season is called North Shore Farmhouse. Over the course of 10 episodes, the show follows homeowners Bill and April Harb as they work with Connor Homes to build a traditional 19th century-style farmhouse from scratch, in the town of Essex on the Massachusetts coast. They’re combining traditional styles, modern materials and innovative building methods.

It has been great working with the Harbs, Connor Homes, and the professional and kind crew from This Old House. We’re delighted that they chose us to provide some period lighting fixtures. We fabricated several historic reproductions for this project, including the models shown below:

North Shore Project, Episode 5: Up on The Roof-- April 21, 2016
Erik lays red cedar shingles on the roof. Kevin travels to Vermont to see reproduction light fixtures handcrafted. Window installation begins. The pre-built cupola is lifted to the top of the garage. Homeowner April searches for a barn door.
